* TOP 10 HALLOWEEN COSTUMES FOR 2010 *

1. Lady Gaga: For all the "Little Monsters" out there, as well as revelers who are simply aching to don a meat dress, there are lots of ways to play the part of Lady Gaga. And thanks to the pop star, there should be lots of pantless trick-or-treaters this year. But if a pre-packadged Gaga outfit won't satisfy you, fear not, there's still time to craft your own.
2. Snooki: Jersey Shore's most famous reality-TV star is sure to have plenty of doppelgangers on the streets this season. Slap on a hair bump-it or a big wig, accessorize with a couple rounds in the tanning booth and a short skirt (or fuzzy slippers) and the costume is complete.
3. The Situation: Snooki's not the only Jersey Shore cast member attracting lots of wannabes this Halloween. Mike Sorrentino, aka "The Situation," has carved out a nice niche for himself thanks to his six-pack abs—the defining characteristic of the top-selling costume. Sunglasses not included.
4. Pauly D: The Situation may have his abs, but Pauly D's got the hair (not to mention the fist-pumping talent and tattoos). Hair gel is integral to the costume, of course. As Pauly D explained earlier in the season, "This hair ain't movin', my dude. 150 miles an hour on the highway on a street bike. Doesn't move."
5. Alice in Wonderland characters: Whether dressing up as a Tim Burton-movie-inspired version of the Mad Hatter or fishnets-and-miniskirt rendition of Alice, the characters from the Lewis Carroll books are ever-popular on the Halloween circuit.
6. Steven Slater, aka "Angry Steward": Two beers and one infamous exit down an inflatable emergency slide launched JetBlue flight attendant Steven Slater into pop-culture notoriety, so it only makes sense that he's one of the year's most popular characters. Those going for a realistic take on the folk hero's fate would be remiss without a pair of handcuffs, too.
7. Iron Man: Every decade has its hero-in-disguise, and it seems the last year's belongs to Tony Stark and his alter ego, Iron Man. Since Robert Downey, Jr. filled Iron Man's armor in 2008, the Marvel character has remained one of the most popular choices for wannabe superheroes.
8. Jake Sully and Neytiri: Avatar may have lost out on the Best Picture Oscar, but its main characters are still on the minds of millions across the country. With sapphire skin, pointed ears and waist-skimming dreadlocks, the Na'vi disguise is for the most dedicated trick-or-treaters.
9. Vampires: Forget the long cape and the steep widow's peak. The classic costume remains one of the most popular costume choices, and with the help of Bill Compton and Edward Cullen, today's vampires are armed with a little more sex appeal.
10. Justin Bieber: It's hard to escape the well-coiffed, pint-sized pop superstar this year, with his Twitter omnipresence and his first headlining tour. The Usher protégé costume is a revamp of a former hit—the Bieber wig is the same wig used in season's past to emulate Bruno.
